Today is the day we head home! It was so much fun being out in the woods, but I miss my yard. I do like my walks and it being just me with mom and dad and not having to share attention of mom and dad. But I miss Hannah and Cassel. 

Got home and Hannah is here, but Cassel isn't. Mom and dad said he comes home next week. I hope that is soon!

When I woke up in the middle of the night, I decided the love seat looked more comfy for me to sleep on. Mom came down at sometime because her back hurt and slept on the love seat too! Good thing I left room for her. 

This morning when we went for our walk, that cheeky squirrel was yelling at me from up the tree, I had to yell back! The squirrel followed us around on our walks so every once in awhile I had to drag dad and chase it! Once we got down to the lake, I ran to get into the water. Not sure why mom and dad were upset about it, I swim all the time. 

While we were relaxing outside after lunch, that pesky squirrel came back and I chased after it. In doing so, I broke my lead! Dad was outside with me and he called to mom to come out as I got away. Dad then left to catch me. Not sure what mom did when she came out because she was still at the campsite when we got back.

Later that afternoon, the lead broke again while I was outside and mom and dad were inside. But this time I didn't run away, just relaxed closer to the creek. Dad fixed it again.

In the afternoon, while mom napped, dad and I went on a long walk along the ridge next to the highway and then we crossed to the other side of the highway on a new trail. I was able to yell at a squirrel up a tree along the way. I told it to come down and play, but it wouldn't. I saw lots of singing birds and chittering squirrels. I got to smell and see some poop that dad called scat and took a picture of. We then walked back to the campground. We arrived at the campsite to see 2 squirrels running together from the site beside us to our site! They ran under the truck and then split up. One went under the trailer and the other crossed in front of me and ran into the bushes beside our site. I gave chase, but didn't really want to catch them. I just pretended to be upset about the leash stopping me from running after them. But I sure wish I had caught them, as they continued to taunt and tease me from the safety of woods for the rest of the afternoon.

I was excited to see grandma and grandpa come with Hannah, Maya, and Kyla to visit. The girls were so nice and I loved playing with them. I hadn't seen Hannah in so long! So nice to see my Hannah. Mom, grandma, and the 3 girls walked to the lake and I got to play in the water again. I loved being in the water. Then we went back to the campsite where the girls roasted marshmallows. Dad is funny and called them Martian pillows! While everyone was visiting a friend of my Oma's came by to show mom and dad this great recipe for making over the fire. I liked her! She smelt like chocolate and berries!

After everyone left and we had dinner, we played Shut the Box again. This time I ruled the game! I beat mom and dad! I had 93, dad had 95 and mom had 125! Haha, no one can call me dumb again!

July 23, 2014

Went for a lovely walk this morning. We went up along the highway. Mom, dad and I found a road that had a chain gate across it. I wanted to go further, but they wouldn't let me. Along the walk I stopped to pee, and man did I ever have to go! I was holding it since last night. I peed so much, I thought I was done and started walking away and realized I was still peeing and had to sit again! How embarrassing! Good thing mom and dad are so cool and don't care! 

I didn't eat all my food this morning and some spilt on the ground under the picnic table. As mom and dad were inside relaxing and I was watching out the screen door, a squirrel came over and kept stealing the food. All I could do was watch it! And then the squirrel got really cheeky and ate a piece while on the picnic table and watched me! I could not believe it! And all mom and dad did was laugh! 

We went for another walk and I got to go swimming again! This time 2 kids played with me in the water! The waves kept getting me, so I had to start catching them in my mouth. I tried to sniff under the water... Doesn't work...not sure why......

After lunch we went for a hike across the road and up the hill. I had to stop half way up because mom needed a break. Well, I felt she needed to have a break before we carried on. There were so many awesome smells!

On one of our walks, we met more kids. They sure like me. While mom and dad made dinner, I got to watch the kids making forts near the creek beside our campsite. I was leashed so couldn't join them, but it loved sitting outside and watching. 

While I was following the smell of some exotic creature near the campsite, I wrapped myself around the trees near the picnic table. Dad came out and saved me. I love him so.

After dinner mom, dad and I played a game called Shut the Box. It was fun and I came in second! Then we relaxed and watched the movie called the King's Speech. I might have napped during the movie as I don't recall what happened in most of the movie. Hehe

What a great adventure we are going on! I don't know what we are doing but mom showed up with grandma and grandpa and we went for a van ride. It was a really long ride. Q sat in the back seat, which was fine with me. I prefer to lean over Hannah or mom to get to the window. At one point, I was on Hannah's lap. But that's ok, because she doesn't mind if her legs go numb. 🐶 

Once we stopped, I was so excited to see where we were. We were in the woods! The smells were wonderful! There were trees and trails and a creek. First thing I wanted to do was go into the creek. Mom was taking me down there and she passed my leash to grandma and I got so excited I ended up pulling grandma into the creek and I ran after a squirrel. I felt bad and I hope I didn't break her. 

After everyone had left, dad and mom ate some supper and then we went to the lake. It was glorious. I found some kids to play with. And they were most helpful when mom tossed my water toy into the water and it was too far for me to get, the little one tried to get it, but their older brother got it for me. I was most happy.

We went on the dock and I just leaped into the water. Once I got in, I realised the water was soooo deep, I couldn't touch the ground! I tried to get back on the dock, but couldn't so swam around the dock to the shore. Whew, that was scary and I won't do that again!

We got to sleep in a 5th wheel and I loved watching out the screen door to watch the people coming and going.
